Bushwackers Embark on Equipment Drive

During the months of March and April, the Bushwackers will be holding their first Equipment Drive. The funds collected during this drive will go towards purchasing new brass and percussion instruments. This will be the only time during the year the corps will be asking alumni and friends of the corps for donations to the corps.

An alumnus of the corps has generously agreed to match all funds collected by the end of April up to $6,000. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Bushwackers and you can help make it happen!

Donations to the Bushwackers can be tax deductible since the corps is a not for profit 501c3 organization incorporated in New Jersey. You can use your donation as a personal tax deduction, or if you own a business, make it a business tax deduction. If you work for a company that has a matching gifts program, you can double your donation to the corps.

As we stated, this will be the only time we will be asking for donations for the 2012 season. The rest of the income for the corps comes from tuition/dues, parades/exhibitions, competitions and money made at our two home shows. Please donate by making checks payable to the Bushwackers and mailing them to:

Marching in the Bushwackers over the past 31 years has always been a positive and rewarding experience; please help to contribute to that experience by donating to the corps this spring. The administration is available if you should have any questions. On behalf of the Bushwackers, thank you very much!

The six-time DCA world champion Bushwackers are a competitive all-age drum and bugle corps based in Central New Jersey. We rehearse once a month through the winter and early spring, then perform most weekends throughout the summer. Our members range in age from 14 to 29+, with an average age of about 22. The Bushwackers’ goal is to provide a competitive, affordable, world class drum corps experience to our members that’s educational and fun.
