Despite the oppressive heat and sudden thunderstorm, the Bushwackers had an extremely productive camp this weekend. In addition to their goal of finishing the 2012 production, the corps added several new members!
Luckily, the corps’ air conditioned housing facility provided a welcome escape from Saturday’s sweltering temperatures. The entire corps got to cool off during meal breaks, and the brass and colorguard remained there for sectionals while the percussion returned to central park. There they were able to press on through the end of the show before making a quick escape from the looming storm. Even that only caused a minor delay, and the hard work through less than ideal conditions set us up to be able to spend all day Sunday cleaning.

With the show now completed and new members bolstering the ranks, the corps is looking forward to their performance this Saturday at Clifton’s 48th Annual Grand Prix. We hope to see you there, and hope you’ll consider joining us in one of our few remaining spots. If interested, visit our Membership section for more info.
