Born to Make Music: A Music Education Drive to Restore the Shore

The Sigma Alpha Iota – Northern New Jersey Alumnae Chapter is proud to announce:

Born to Make Music: A Music Education Drive to Restore the Shore

Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc throughout our region more than anyone could have imagined. In the weeks since the storm lives are continuing to go on but much is changed. Many schools in the area were damaged due to flood waters. Unfortunately, music is going to be the the last thing to be replaced in many of these schools. We would like to help.

The chapter is asking that you look to see if you can donate any of the items listed below. Any donation is useful. With aide needing to go from elementary to high school aged children no gift is too small.

  • Instruments: from jingle bells to tubas to pianos. recorders and large instruments are in the highest demand
  • Accessories: reeds, valve oil, music stands
  • Sheet Music: Chorale, Band, and Orchestra ensemble music, solo instrumental music, method books for all instruments and levels
  • Books: music history, theory, biographies
  • Miscellaneous: pencils, notebooks, staff paper

All donations can be made through any Northern New Jersey Alumnae sister or at any NNJAC event.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, schedule a pick up, or have any questions feel free to contact Kara at 908-400-3978 or Kristine at 917-656-1269. Both can be reached at NNJ.SAI@gmail.com
