Saturday morning began as all other Saturday mornings for the Bushwackers. Truck showed up and we started unloading and getting the day going with breathing exercises, stretches, lip flexibility exercises and more new members. With a public performance just around the corner in Pennsauken NJ on Saturday Feb 23rd, the Brass and Percussion were ready to continue their journey towards excellence.
On Sunday, some members of the colorguard joined us at Princeton Day School to work on some skills as well as get to know their instructors a little better. The Full Colorguard is excited to start learning work as well as rejoin the rest of the BUSH family when their respective indoor seasons are complete. The Brass has all of the music for the 2013 production “WE ARE:” ready to learn for next camp.
The corps message to the members going into the next camp is to prepare for what the challenges of an ALL AGE corps schedule can bring to a member. In the winter months we are expecting our members to show up in physical conditions that will get them through the weekend as well as the beginning of the warm months ahead. More importantly, we are asking our members to arrive with the right mental preparation. The stamina to make it from Saturday morning through Sunday’s rehearsals.
This new crop of Bushwackers are learning with great attitudes and WE ARE excited for our indoor performance on February 23rd.
