Abby brings several varied musical experiences to the Bushwackers Cymbal Line. After marching mellophone, cymbals, and bass drum in high school, she started her drum corps experience with the 2010 Jersey Surf mellophone section. Upon entering college, she joined the University of Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hen Marching Band on cymbals, where she has marched four years with two as a section leader. She returned to drum corps in 2012 with The Cadets 2 as a cymbal player before she was selected as drum major for the inaugural season. She was a section leader of the 2014 Cadets Winter Percussion cymbal line, and began teaching the Bushwackers that spring.
Abby has assisted in teaching several high school cymbal lines in the Delaware Valley area, and was the cymbal writer and technician for WGI finalist Imperial Dynasty in 2013. She graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2014 with a degree in Instrumental Music Education, and plans to continues to teach in the area.
