Frantzman Family Benefit

The Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps has enjoyed over 30 successful seasons, bringing innovative and highly entertaining shows to our fans.

The Corps wouldn’t be here without our members, administration, and educational teams…but most importantly, our volunteers.

Roger Frantzman looks to be a typical “Band Parent” on the outside. Roger supports his son, Richie (Tenor Line), by bringing him to and volunteering with the organizations that he is involved in.

Roger, however, is more than just a Band Parent. He is a Corps Parent as well as the Quartermaster for The Bushwackers’ Administration Team. He spends his time during the week (as well as the weekend) to ensure that the Drum Corps runs as efficiently as possible. Repairs, Long Drives to pick up Equipment or Members, Recruiting, Cooking, Cleaning … Roger does it all. All for free.

The Bushwackers and the Drum Corps activity have always been about family, and the time has come for our family to step in and help Roger’s family. About six months ago, Roger’s wife, Kim, fell ill with cancer. Since then, Roger has made the tough decision to resign from this job
in order to support his wife throughout the treatment processes. Since the initial diagnosis, the financial burden continues to grow as medical bills and other finances start to pile together.

The Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps would like to show our support for Roger and his family by performing at the Frantzman Family Benefit event, being held at the Golden Nugget Tavern located in Berlin, NJ. There will be bands, food, and a great family atmosphere as we all come together to support Kim in her courageous battle with cancer.

The Benefit will be held from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 18th with a $15.00 Donation Charge at the Door. The Golden Nugget is located at 433 New Freedom Road, Berlin, NJ.

The Bushwackers will be performing at approximately 3:45pm, and will be playing selections from our 2014 production, The Resistants.

If you are unable to make the benefit, but would still like to donate, you can do so by clicking here.
