The Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps is excited to welcome back the majority of its Administration Team for the 2015 season. With a few additions and a few lateral moves in leadership, the support and operational function of the Administrative team remains strong as our 34th season gets underway.
In a move to strengthen our organization, former Corps Director Bob Gupta has been named Executive Director of SmART Performances, the Bushwackers umbrella organization. His focus will be on increasing the footprint of SmART while administering the financial development, community networking, and new performance ensemble offerings of this arts consortium.
The Bushwackers are pleased to name Robert Glover as Corps Director beginning in November of 2014. Glover will oversee all aspects of the Bushwackers daily operations, recruiting, administrative team, and educational staff. Having served as the Bushwackers’ Associate Director during the 2014 season, Robert comes to the Bushwackers with several years of administrative experience throughout DCA and DCI. “Robert has a wealth of experience in both education and administration in the marching arts.” said SmART Executive Director Bob Gupta. “Those skills combined with his passion to provide the best drum corps experience for our members makes Robert the perfect choice to lead the corps through our next phase of growth.”
Stepping up in a big way is longtime Bushwacker, Kaitlyn Galvin, who has been named Business Manager. Kaitlyn has been involved in all facets of the Bushwackers organization, from member, to guard caption head, to serving the administrative team using her professional accounting and management background. “We are very excited to be able to elevate Kaitlyn to a position where she will affect the most positive influence on how we operate daily. Her exceptional ability to organize and provide analytic support brings a welcome face to this long vacant position.” says Robert Glover, Corps Director.
Joining the Administrative team is Harlan Landes, the Bushwackers’ new Operations Manager. Landes has an operational background in Drum Corps, having served with other drum corps organizations in event planning, tour operations, and logistics management. Harlan will oversee the camp and tour operations of the Corps throughout the year as the Bushwackers continue striving to perfect the member’s experience.
