SmART Performances is pleased to announce that the Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps is expanding its performance schedule this coming season to include DCI SoundSport and DrumLine Battle competitions in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The six-time Drum Corps Associates (DCA) champion Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Princeton, New Jersey, will be traveling to Indianapolis in August 2018 to provide unique and exciting performance opportunities for its members. The corps will maintain its full DCA schedule from June through September, and will participate in events at the DCI SoundSport International Music & Food Festival in Indianapolis on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
The Bushwackers are well-known as one of the most innovative ensembles throughout drum corps. This year, the corps is excited about the opportunity to take an innovative approach to its performance schedule. Providing the Bushwackers with the DCI SoundSport and DrumLine Battle experiences will be a season highlight for the corps membership, staff, and administration.
Everyone from the prospective members to the organization’s board of directors is anticipating an amazing response to this plan. In addition to providing an amazing experience for the Bushwackers Drum Corps, this opportunity will introduce a new audience to the ensemble.
To end this exciting weekend in Indianapolis, the Bushwackers Drum Corps will have the opportunity to watch DCI Finals live at Lucas Oil Stadium. Over the past few years, many members of the Bushwackers have participated in DCI World Class drum corps, and many others desire to audition in the future.
This experience in Indianapolis contributes to the approach the Bushwackers take to prepare these members with the tools for their success.
DCI SoundSport has been wholeheartedly enthusiastic and incredibly supportive about the prosepct of bringing the Bushwackers to Indianapolis. The Bushwackers are looking forward to building on this opportunity this season and in the future.
