Dennis Argul returns to the Bushwackers as the Brass Arranger for the 14th year.
Dennis has been active in the marching arts activity since 1974 as a member of the St. Andrew’s Kidets and then the St. Andrew’s, then later, Bayonne Bridgemen from 1976 to 1981. He later joined the ranks of the DCA and has been active since, currently arranging the brass books for many ensembles in the organization.
For the last three decades Dennis has also been an adjudicator for many organizations and genres, most recently enjoying his experiences as a judge with Drum Corps International. Dennis is currently the Senior Director of Music and Education for the JAZZ HOUSE KiDS in Montclair, NJ which is a premiere organization for jazz education in the USA.
Dennis has recently retired after a 33 year career as a music educator and administrator in the New Jersey Public Schools system, including gaining recognition from NAMM as one of the top school districts for three consecutive years in the USA for Music Education while working in the Elizabeth School District. Dennis is also a freelance low brass musician, specializing in bass trombone, and performs with many ensembles in the New York metropolitan area.
