Winter Camp 3 Report

Growth, Consistency, Experience.

As the Bushwackers continue to progress with the 2013 production WE ARE, we find that instilling and developing core values in our members is at the top of our lesson plans. This years crop of Bushwackers are learning not just what their performance responsibilities are, but also what the intangible responsibilities are to achieve high levels of excellence. Preparation outside of camps as well as communication with instructors are aspects of the Bushwacker experience that will be our roads to success.

WE ARE excited to announce our drum major:

Bonnie Harper

bonnieBonnie Harper, originally from Eagle, Idaho, is currently an elementary music teacher in Bellingham, Massachusetts, teaching general music grades K-4 and fourth-grade chorus. She received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Flute Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. During her last two years at UMass, Ms. Harper was a drum major for the UMass Minuteman Marching Band and worked closely with George N. Parks and Thom Hannum.
