david-enloe David Enloe is in his 19th year as Director of Bands at Hickory High School. Mr. Enloe is a highly regarded arranger, clinician, and adjudicator. He has been involved with many well-respected programs on the secondary and collegiate levels. Mr. Enloe attended Jacksonville State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While at Jacksonville State, Mr. Enloe studied French Horn and Conducting with Bayne Dobbins. He has also received his Master’s Degree in Conducting with Professor Anthony Maiello at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

 

 

Mr. Enloe, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, marched with the Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps from 1978-1981, mostly known as the Jim Ott years. He aged out wiDavid Enloeth the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps in 1982. David continued his drum corps experience as the brass caption head for the Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps from 1991-1993, capturing the Division II championship twice in three years. He was also on staff with the Spirit of Atlanta in 1995, helping the corps back on the field after an inactive season. His last drum corps experience was as the brass caption head at Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps in 2004 and 2005. There, he helped that organization break into DCA Finals for the very first time.

 

Along with being an educator, Mr. Enloe stays an active performing musician as a performer in the Virginia Wind Symphony on French Horn. Mr. Enloe’s affiliations include MENC, VMEA, and the National Band Association.
