burns2Chris Burns is excited to be joining the Visual Staff of the Bushwackers for the 2015 season.

Graduating in 2011 with degrees in History and American Studies from West Chester University, Chris was an active member of the music community. He spent four years as a member of the tuba section in the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band and performed with both the Symphonic and Concert Bands switching between tuba and string bass. Chris was also privileged to serve the band as a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, serving in multiple leadership roles within the organization.

Drum corps has been an area that has allowed Chris to not only continue to perform but also continue to grow as an educator. He made his drum corps debut as part of the baritone section of the Reading Buccaneers in 2011 and returned in 2013. 2012, however, was no hiatus. He decided to round out his musical talents and gain different experience by becoming a member of the Fusion Core bass line. 2014 was a shift as he traded in his dinkles for a drill binder, joining the visual staff at the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps.

By day, Chris is a history teacher in Allentown. By night, he can usually be found atop a tower or running around on the field instructing students. His current home is with Upper Dublin High School in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Chris has served in various capacities since his first year in 2010. Throughout his time there, he has been the visual coordinator and battery technician for both the Marching Band and Indoor Percussion. Other credits include the Central Bucks South Marching Titans and drill writer for the Great Valley Marching Patriots.
