Dave DeMello joined the Bushwackers Bass Line in 1994, and played Bass two for 5 consecutive years. Following that, he taught the Bass Lines of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
Dave continued the tradition of great Bush Bass Lines that came before and won several percussion titles. Dave’s commitment to the the corps and the percussion section was exemplary.
As the years went on, and Dave was not part of the full time instructional staff, he would come in before championship weekend and his short tenure would create significant improvement in the Bass Line. His leadership, example, and direction made a lasting impact on many Bushwacker members, and we are proud to have him as a member of the Hall of Fame.
