Aaron Staluppi is currently a graduate assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he is the manager and assistant conductor of the University Orchestra, as well a teaching assistant with the Minuteman Marching Band. Mr. Staluppi is also the ensemble music instructor for the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devil Marching Band, working with Dr. Lauren Heller.

Mr. Staluppi received his bachelor’s degree in music education and tuba performance from UMass Amherst as well, studying with Matthew Gaunt, Scott Mendoker, and John Bottomley. In his undergraduate career, he participated in the Minuteman Marching Band and later became Drum Major, working closely with his mentors in the drum corps world; George N. Parks, Thomas P. Hannum, Michael Klesch, and Colin McNutt.Pursuing tuba performance and conducting in his graduate studies, Mr. Staluppi is also an assistant conductor with the University Concert Band and is the director of the UMass Brass Choir. His mentors include Teresa Cheung, James Patrick Miller, Mallory Thompson, John Lynch, and Frank Battisti.

Aaron Staluppi is currently on staff with the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy where he works closely with Professor Heidi I. Sarver, director of the University of Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hen Marching Band. Thousands of students attend this summer academy learning conducting, marching, communication, and leadership skills.
