Andrew Hayward is the founder of the New Jersey based marching arts design company, Fusion Marching Designs. He has been active in the marching arts as a performer, educator, and adjudicator for 20 years and has won awards at local, state, and regional competitions. Hayward’s design schedule keeps him busy writing for various indoor and outdoor marching ensembles.
Hayward holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in clarinet performance and is currently acquiring a D.M.A from Rutgers University under the guidance of Jessica Phillips of the MET Opera. He keeps an active private clarinet studio where he strives to instill the importance of fundamentals and musicality.
Hayward has performed in various groups with locals ranging across the United States and into Europe. A former member of The Cadets , he has given back to the activity he loves by inspiring his students to reach for new levels of excellence.
In his free time, Hayward enjoys distance running and web/graphic design.
