Alex Siwa returns to the Bushwackers in 2015 as a member of the Visual Education Team, as well as reprising his 2014 role as the Bushwackers’ Head Drum Major. Originally from Jamison, Pennsylvania, Alex is currently enrolled as a music student at Bucks County Community College for Music Performance on the saxophone. He will be moving to Temple University in Philadelphia in 2015 to continue his degree in Music Education. Alex has taught as a visual and music technician at Melbourne High School in Melbourne, FL, as well as at Central Bucks High School South in Warrington, PA. He continues as a tech for Central Bucks South to this day.
Alex began his drum corps career as a mellophone player for the initial season of the Cadets2. He continued his career in 2013 as a mellophone for the Bushwackers, and continued with Bush as drum major.
Alex is an avid participant in extracurricular musical activities. He has played as a pit musician in such musicals as “Jekyll and Hyde”, “The Wedding Singer”, “Guys and Dolls”, “Reefer Madness”, and “The Boy Friend”. He has acted as pit conductor for a number of theater productions, and has served as musical director for Stephen Sondheim’s “Company”.
