Robert Glover is excited to take the reigns as the Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps Director for the 2015 season.

Previously, Mr. Glover served as Bush’s Associate Director in 2014, and as Corps Director for the Connecticut Hurricanes Drum & Bugle Corps in 2013. He was a member of the Hurricanes Brass Education Team in 2010 and 2011, and Assistant Director in 2012.

Bob currently consults with and has worked as the Brass Arranger and Brass Caption Head for the United States Naval Academy Drum & Bugle Corps from Annapolis, MD. Mr. Glover has also served on the Brass Staff and led the Administrative Team as Director for the Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps from Raleigh, NC. He has also served in an administrative or support role on tour with The Cadets, Crossmen, and Capital Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.

Over the past 16 years, Bob has directed and designed for numerous band programs in Virginia, Connecticut, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and throughout the country. During his pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, he attended James Madison University where he was a member of the Marching Royal Dukes and various concert ensembles, and Old Dominion University where he served as Principal in the Symphony Orchestra, Co-Principal in the Wind Ensemble. While at Old Dominon, he was the winner of the 2003 ODU Regional Concerto Competition and served as Student Director of the ODU Monarch Pep Band.

Mr. Glover has adjudicated with Bands of America (BOA), the NCBA (North Carolina Bandmasters Association), The Fall Classic Series, and USBands. Professional memberships include Phi Eta Sigma, VMEA, MENC (now NAfME), The International Trumpet Guild (ITG), International Tuba-Euphonium Association (ITEA), and the National Piano Guild (NPG). Mr. Glover has studied Tuba and Euphonium privately with Mr. Mike Wheeler (National Symphony), Mr. Kevin Stees (Madison Brass), and Mr. Pete DeBeau (Virginia Symphony). He has also studied Trumpet with Dr. William Bartollota (Virginia Symphony & Williamsburg Sinfonia) and was a conducting student of Mr. Alberto Romen Asercion (The Armed Forces School of Music). Robert currently resides in Princeton, NJ where he works in Transportation Logistics and maintains a private Tuba and Euphonium studio.
