Sharbel

Sharbel began his Drum Corps career at The Raiders marching their 2015 and 2016 productions. In 2017 he marched with The Cadets 2 and in 2018 joined The Cadets, serving as their Horn Sergeant for the 2020-2021 season. Sharbel works as a drill writer, designer, and consultant with various marching arts ensembles. Currently, he is the Artistic Director and Visual Caption Head at Central Bucks HS South in Warrington, PA. He is also a member of Silent Command, delivering leadership and program consultations to groups and young adults across the country.

Sharbel attended Rutgers University where he studied Human Resource Management, Labor Studies, and Economics. While at University his research focused on Leadership in the Workplace and Work Efficiency. He has been a part of teams that have formulated corporate strategies for some of the most well known companies in the world. His most recent employers include Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Calvin Klein, and Dow Jones. 

Sharbel is excited to be joining the Bushwackers team. He looks forward to taking from his experiences and applying them in this new role!

Shawn Nagpal is a performer and educator in the New Jersey area. He is currently enrolled in his final year at Rutgers University where he studies Music Education, with a concentration on instrumental music. His primary instrument is Euphonium and studied with Aaron VanderWeele, Solo Euphonium player of the New York Staff Band. He has also worked and studied with musicians from the New York Philharmonic, including Alan Baer and Kenneth DeCarlo. Shawn has also performed in many of Rutgers’ top wind bands and chamber groups, as well.

Shawn has also worked with several marching bands in the area. He was the lead brass pedagogue at the Central Bucks High School South Marching Band in PA. Also, he was a visual technician and choreographer for the John P. Stevens Marching Hawks in NJ. Shawn recently started a private studio, where he has several low brass students.

Shawn has marched lead baritone all four years of his drum corps career. He marched 2015 and 2016 at the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps. In 2018, he began his first summer with the Cadets, and aged out with them in 2019. Shawn is very excited to be joining the Bushwackers team this upcoming season!

Caleb Schreier graduated from Freehold High School in Freehold, NJ in 2015. His first teaching experience came teaching the Pemberton High School indoor percussion as a visual focused tech for the  2018-2019 season.  

Caleb began his drum corps career as a clarinet player who joined the Bushwackers, and became a contra player as the 2014 season progressed. He spent the 2014-2016 seasons marching contra with the Bushwackers. Caleb then marched with the 79th edition Madison Scouts for the 2017 season, and spent the 2018 season on Euphonium for the Bushwackers. Most recently he has aged out with The Cavaliers in 2019, finishing with a Top 5 placement at DCI Finals. 

He is extremely excited and eager to give back to the drum corps that laid the foundation for his drum corps career!

Benjamin Liberti is a tuba player originally from Orlando, Florida. He currently lives in New Brunswick, NJ where he is pursuing an undergraduate degree in music performance at Rutgers University. 

A four year DCI veteran, Liberti began his career with hometown drum corps Heat Wave in its inaugural season in 2015. He then moved on to march three seasons with the Boston Crusaders (2016, 2017, 2018) and was the tuba section leader his final year. 

After aging himself out and ending his marching career early to focus on his health and college education, Benjamin is extremely excited to begin his drum corps teaching career with the Bushwackers visual team for the 2020 season. Other teaching experience includes marching band technician with the JP Stevens High School from Edison, NJ in 2018 and 2019.

Lauren started her marching career at Freehold High School (2012-2016) in the drumline on bass. In 2014, she was introduced to the Bushwackers where a cymbal spot was available. She stayed with the Bush Plates line, between marching and teaching, from 2014-2019. While living in California for a period of time, she also marched with Red Wave Indoor, based out of Fresno, for the 2019 season. Now, living back on the east coast, she will be marching her age out with United Percussion.
 
Lauren has had the pleasure to teach the Bushwackers Plates line in 2018, Beyer High School for their 2017-2019 fall and winter seasons, Amador Valley High School for their 2019 indoor season, and is joining Upper Darby High School for their 2020 indoor season.
 
Outside of teaching and performing, Lauren spent three years at Las Positas College with a focus in music, and has now transferred to West Chester University as a music education major with a focus in percussion. 
 
She is beyond excited to continue with the Bushwackers, a place that has given her a home for so many years.
