After serving as the visual caption head in the 2022 season, Brian is excited to make his return to Bush!

Brian began his teaching career with the Whitehall High School Marching Band from Whitehall, PA, as a visual tech from 2017-2018. Since 2019, he has served on the visual staff at North Penn High School in Lansdale, PA. Brian is currently employed as a mechanical engineer, and is pursuing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University, after also attending Lehigh for his bachelor’s.  Brian is an alumnus of Toms River North High School, and currently lives in Toms River, NJ.

Brian’s drum corps career began with Bush in 2015, where he marched mellophone, and he continued with the corps through the 2016 season. In 2017, Brian marched with the Madison Scouts. In 2018, he marched his first year with The Cavaliers, and remained with the corps until his age out in 2021. During his time with the Cavaliers, Brian served in a hornline leadership role from 2019-2021. Brian also returned to DCA to fill open hornline positions after the conclusion of the DCI season with the Bushwackers (2017, 2019) and Cadets 2 (2018).

As a Bushwacker, Brian is very passionate about continuing the upward trajectory of the corps with the help of the unbelievably talented visual staff on board for the 2023 season!

Reagan

Reagan started her involvement in the marching arts at Whitehall High School in Whitehall, PA from 2009-13. Her drum corps career first began in 2012 during the inaugural year of Cadets2 where she played the mellophone. She went on to march with C2 for another four seasons, later switching from mellophone to trumpet in 2015. During her time at C2, she was the mellophone section leader in 2013-14, trumpet section leader in 2015, and the horn sergeant in 2014-15. In 2016, Reagan spent the summer abroad in Kyrgyzstan completing an internship for her double major in anthropology and english at Lehigh University, but returned to Cadets2 in 2017 to fill an open spot in the trumpet line in the middle of the season. Reagan is currently a full-time archaeologist and is attending Monmouth University in pursuit of her master’s degree.

In addition to performing in the marching arts since 2009, she has been on the visual staff for the Whitehall High School marching band for five years and is currently the visual caption head for the North Penn marching knights from Landsdale, PA. She was a part of the visual team at C2 in 2018, Fusion Core in 2019, and is now excited to be heading into her second season with the Bushwackers.

Louis

Louis (pronounced “Louie”) is currently wrapping up his BM music education degree at William Paterson University and is eager to start his music teaching career. He currently teaches marching band as the visual caption head at Wayne Hills High School in Wayne, NJ. He began his drum corps career with the Raiders Drum & Bugle corps in 2019 and then went to the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle corps from 2020 until his age out in 2022.

Louis is proud to be joining Bush’s visual staff for the 2023 season!

Adam Germ is a pageantry arts educator and choreographer from Quakertown, PA. His teaching career began in the fall of 2019 with Central Bucks South High School, and he is continuing his work there through the upcoming 2023 fall season. He currently serves as the visual caption head with Central Bucks and has since 2022. Adam is also on staff with United Percussion for the 2023 WGI season where he teaches visual technique and choreography for the battery.

Adam began his marching career at Quakertown High School, marching from 9th grade until he graduated in 2019. He first marched drum corps in DCA with the Cadets2 in 2018 as a trumpet player. Following his time with the Allentown corps, he auditioned and marched the Blue Stars in the summer of 2019 as a mellophone player. Adam has since been with the Blue Stars through 2022, where he served as the mellophone section leader during his age out season.

Adam is very excited to spend his summer with the Bushwackers for 2023!

Michael is a band director and trumpet player in the North Jersey area. Currently he is the band director at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Michael graduated from the University of Delaware school of music where he earned a BM in music education.

Previously, Michael marched two seasons with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps on trumpet. He also works with the US Bands circuit as a tabulator and event logistics staffer.

Michael is excited to begin his first season working with the Bushwackers!

AJ

Anthony Joseph is a trumpet player and educator living in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Anthony is no stranger to the Bushwackers, having marched from 2014 through 2016 and serving as an assistant drum major in 2016. While he received a degree in political science, he spent most of his collegiate years in the William & Mary wind ensemble and served as visual and winds tech for the award winning Warhill High School Marching Lions in Williamsburg, VA.

Furthermore, in the past few years, he has worked as a leadership coordinator, visual tech, and assistant band director for his home band, the Pemberton Township High School Marching Hornets.

Currently, Anthony is the high school band director for the Camden Academy Charter High School. After an extended break from drum corps, Anthony is excited to join his fellow Bushwackers on staff!

Megan got her start in drum corps marching baritone with Cadets2 in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. After her time with C2, she began teaching as a member of the visual and music staff at both Neshaminy High School and Rancocas Valley Regional High School. She then went on to serve as the marching band director at Rancocas Valley for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Megan is a graduate of The College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in music education. As an educator, Megan’s primary focus has been on supporting the mental and physical health of student performers. She is currently a middle school choral, instrumental, and general music teacher in south jersey, and is a master’s student in the music and music education program at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Megan is very excited to be joining the Bushwackers visual team!
