Jayson Hart-Smith returns in 2017 to the Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps as Caption Manager. Jayson’s marching career began with the Calvert Hall High School Marching Band from 2003-2006. His drum corps experience started in 2005 with Bush and continued through the 2010 season, playing Bass Drum and Auxiliary Percussion. In 2011, Jayson had the privilege to age out with the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps out of San Antonio, TX. Following his ageout, Jayson returned to Bush as bass tech from 2012-2014. In 2015, Jayson marched with the Reading Buccaneers winning High Percussion.
Outside of Drum Corps, Jayson was a member of United Percussion’s Bassline in the WGI circuit from 2010-2012. Following his WGI ageout, he was the bass tech for Field of View from 2012-2014. He is currently Bass 2 and Bass Captaion of the Baltimore Ravens drumline.
