Welcome to the return of the Bush Bugle! My name is Bo Park, and I handle the Public Relations for the Bushwackers Drum Corps. We’ve decided to bring back the newsletter in a new format to keep everyone updated on what’s going on with the corps.
Wildwood has come and gone, and after a well deserved day of, the corps is back to the grindstone. During the Wildwood show, fans got to witness our reveal of this year’s program: We Are. While we only performed 4 out of 5 movements during that show, the Corps still scored a 64.15 before the 1.2 point penalty, putting us ahead of our pace from the past two years.
The feedback from the crowd and the judges were very positive and the members and staff approached their 6/21~6/23 rehearsal with a vengeance. The corps adjusted drill, added in choreography, and the drumline finished Movement IV, the percussion feature.
During this coming rehearsal, the members and staff are looking forward to adding the Guard to the 4th Movement, completing the production. Want to check out the Bushwackers during their adventure this season? Check out our calendar to see when you can stop by!
